EDEN, Md. (AP/WBOC)- Court documents show a 22-year-old, whose body was found on a rural roadside in Somerset County, was fatally stabbed.

Maryland State Police say Damon Jennings was missing for two weeks before his body was found on Friday in Eden. He was last seen on Oct. 15 with friends.

Authorities say 22-year-old Elijah Carroll and 21-year-old Jazzmine Morton, both of Baltimore, are charged with first-degree murder. A third person, Kevin Nixon of Princess Anne, is charged with accessory after the fact to second-degree murder. It isn't clear if they have attorneys.

Nixon told police that he saw Carroll stab Jennings on the Eastern Shore. He then helped Carroll move the body into a wooded area.

Police said Nixon and Morton returned to dispose of the body on a ditch alongside Backbone Road in Eden on Oct. 25.

Authorities said they do not know the motive for the killing.
