SALISBURY, Md.– A Millsboro, Del. man was charged with stealing a watch from a fellow passenger at the Salisbury-Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport after sheriff's deputies say the theft was caught on surveillance video.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Timothy Morrow was arrested on Wednesday morning upon landing at th airport.

Deputies said the alleged theft happened on Sunday, when a traveler left his Omega wristwatch on the conveyer belt at security. According to the sheriff’s office, Morrow saw the watch as the first passenger walked away and pocketed it. Deputies say Morrow stood inside the gate area until the other passenger boarded his flight, and then put the watch on his own wrist.

A deputy determined that Morrow was scheduled to return to the airport on Wednesday and met him there on that date.

Morrow was charged with theft between $1,000 and $10,000 and released on personal recognizance.
