Posted:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)- Southwest Airlines will begin flying passengers nonstop between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Baltimore with twice-a-day service starting in April.

The Dallas-based carrier had connected Twin Cities passengers to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport with routes that included at least one stop.

Baltimore will be added to the list of nonstop routes that includes Atlanta, Denver, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Phoenix, St. Louis and a handful of Florida cities.

The new service has scheduled departure and return times in the morning and evening.

Delta Air Lines and Spirit Airlines also have nonstop routes between the Twin Cities and Baltimore.
