LAUREL, Del. - Four people were arrested Tuesday for drug charges, following a lengthy investigation of illegal drug sales in the Laurel, Delaware area.

The Laurel Police Department says search warrants were conducted in the Hollybrook Apartment Complex and Carvel Gardens Apartment Complex.

Police say Brittany Milton, 25, of Laurel, Emerson Jones, 44, of Laurel, and Jones' son Emerson Jones III, 20 of Laurel, were all arrested. Police say Jones III was found to be in possession of 23.65 grams of powder cocaine, 9 packs of heroin totaling .135 grams, and 4.35 grams of marijuana.

Police say the investigation revealed Jones III was selling the illegal narcotics out of Milton's apartment. Milton was charged with maintaining a drug property. During the search of the apartment, police say Jones senior was located and found to have an active warrant issued out of Sussex County Family Court for failing to appear for child support.

Police say Jones senior was committed to SCI in default of a $10,000 secured bond, Jones III was committed to SCI in default of a $10, 000 secured bond, and Milton was released with a $2,000 unsecured bond pending a  future court date.

The search warrant conducted at Carvel Gardens revealed Special Sykes, 20, of Laurel, was found to be in possession of 3.3 grams of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia.  During the lengthy investigation, it was revealed the illegal drugs were being sold out of her apartment.  Sykes was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond with a future court date.
