Two Sought in Attempted Robbery of Seaford Area Deli

SEAFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with the attempted holdup of a Seaford area deli.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Monday at the Middleford Deli, located at 10056 Middleford Road. Troopers said two men armed with handguns entered the business and confronted a female employee at the counter. Police said when the suspects demanded money from the register, the clerk told them there was no cash and the two ran fled out of the front door of the business and ran in an easterly direction.  Two other employees were present during the attempted robbery but no one was injured in this incident, according to police. 

The suspects are both described as white males, approximately 6-feet-tall and 150-160 pounds. Police said one was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a mask.  The other was described as wearing tan pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt with a green back pack, and a mask.
