SALISBURY, Md.- Joe Flacco has been the man under center for the Ravens for at least eight seasons. Never having missed a game, the Ravens will have to finish the remainder of the season without him, and without running back Justin Forsett. The team was already reeling from the loss of Steve Smith Sr.on the offensive side.
Ravens fans on Delmarva have been on an emotional roller coaster with the Ravens this season. In Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams fans experienced it all; from an emotional high with a win, to losing two other starting players.
Pamela Willinger, a die-hard Ravens fan, said she supports the team, but it's been tough this season.
"It's broken my heart, I don't know what else to say," she said. "They've got 16 people hurt, now 17 with Joe; I don't know what we're gonna do. I'm a Ravens fan all the way, I'll stick by them, I don't care what happens."
Ravens fan Bruce McKeldin said, "We're just looking forward to the draft pick next year. We know the seasons a wash. It's hard to know when to actually shut the season down and say hey, you don't want to hurt anymore of our starters."
Ravens fans are now setting their sights on the draft and hopeful for a better outcome next season. The Ravens travel to Cleveland on Monday to play the Browns.
