Dover Police Arrest Pair on Drug, Weapons Charges

DOVER, Del.- Dover police say a traffic stop led to the seizure of more than two dozen bags of heroin and the arrests of two people on multiple drug and weapons charges. 

Police said that on Monday afternoon officers from the department's Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime and Street Crimes Units contacted 21-year-old Keith Stevens and 26-year-old Cierra Brummell, both of Dover, in a vehicle on the 200 block of South New Street. Police said a further investigation led to the discovery of a .38-caliber handgun and 27 bags of heroin packaged for sale.

Stevens and Brummell were each charged with possession of firearm by person prohibited, possession of ammunition by person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree conspiracy. 

Stevens was ordered held on $9,250 secured bond and Brummell was ordered held on $10,750 secured bond.
