Milford Names New City Manager


MILFORD, Del.- The Milford Mayor and City Council on Monday night unanimously approved a contract appointing Eric Norenberg as Milford's next city manager.

The city said in a release that following a national recruitment, Norenberg, who has been city manager of Oberlin, Ohio for the past eight years, was selected from a field of more than 90 candidates. He is expected to begin work in early January 2016.

In addition to serving as Oberlin, Ohio's city manager, Norenberg is the city's treasurer and sits on the Oberlin Community Improvement Corporation board. An Ohio-native, Eric has a bachelor of science in political science from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, a master of public policy from the Ford
School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and he is an International City Manager Association Credentialed Manager.

Norenberg is the past president of the Ohio City/County Management Association, past chair of the Team Lorain County Board of Directors and is an active member of the Oberlin Rotary Club.
