HARTLY, Del. - Troopers are investigating a home invasion that happened near Hartly early Tuesday night.
Police say it happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Pearsons Corner Road as a 15-year-old boy heard a knock at the front door.

According to police, when the teen opened the door, he was confronted by a black man armed with a handgun.  Police say the suspect then ordered the boy to the floor covered his head with a blanket.  Just before his face was covered, the teen saw a second suspect enter the house.

Police say the teen called 9-1-1 after the suspects left, and say the suspects only took his computer and cell phone.

One of the suspects was described as a black man wearing a black mask, jean jacket, gloves, and armed with an unknown type handgun. There was no description of the second suspect.
Detectives have determined through preliminary interviews and investigation that this was not a random act and believe the victim may have been targeted in the home invasion.
If anyone has any information in reference to this incident, they are asked to contact Detective M. Csapo at 302-698-8427.  Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via the internet at, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
