SALISBURY, Md.- Five people are without a home tonight after two apartments were damaged in a fire this morning.

Firefighters responded to The Greens Apartments on College Lane just before 8 a.m. Thursday, after a neighbor reported smoke.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, the fire started in a third floor apartment and was caused by unextinguished smoking materials.
