Two Utility Vans Collide in Harbeson

HARBESON, Del.- Fire officials say two utility vehicles collided Monday morning, sending one person to the hospital. 

According to the Indian River Vol. Fire Co., it happened Monday at 9:02 a.m. at Hollymount Rd. and Beaver Dam Rd. in Harbeson.

Fire officials said a white Ford Transit Utility Van was traveling eastbound on Beaver Dam Rd. near the intersection of Hollymount Rd., when it was hit from behind by another Ford Utility Van traveling in the same direction. 

Firefighters said crews from Long Neck, Oak Orchard and Delaware State Fire Police also responded to the scene. 

Fire officials said one person involved in the crash was transported to a nearby medical facility.

According to firefighters, Delaware State Fire Police rerouted traffic during the crash. 

Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
