Suspect Sought in Dover Gas Station Armed Robbery

DOVER, Del. - Police are looking for a man wanted for robbing a Dover gas station and threatening an employee with a knife.

According to Delaware State Police, it happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday at the Valero Gas Station located at 1612 South Dupont Highway.

Troopers say the robber approached the 31-year-old employee threateningly with a knife. According to police, she was able to get away from him as he grabbed rolls of scratch-off lottery tickets and packs of cigars. Police say he then ran away toward Rodney Village.

The suspect was described as a black male, between six feet and six-foot-two, 165 to 185 pounds, wearing a grey and black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black and tan camouflage backpack.

There are no surveillance photos available.
