Police Search for Man Connected with Burglary and Attempted Strangulation

DOVER, Del.- The Dover Police Department is searching for a Wilmington man after police say he attempted to choke a woman.

Police say 25-year-old Robert Moss was visiting a 25-year-old woman at a home on the 400 block of River Road Friday, when police say the two had an argument.

Police say Moss the left the home, but continued to call and make several threats.

Just before 5 p.m., police say Moss returned to the home and threatened to kill the victim while he stood on the front porch.  

Police say Moss then forced the front door to the residence open, and proceeded inside the home where he began choking the woman.  A struggle ensued, and police say the woman was able to free herself as Moss ransacked the home.  According to police, the woman ran to a neighbors home and called the police.  

Officers say A 3-year-old child was present in the home during the incident.  

Moss is currently wanted by the Dover Police Department for burglary 2nd-degree, strangulation, criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, and terroristic threatening.
