DOVER, Del.- Dover police say a Saturday afternoon traffic stop led to the arrest of a man found with two loaded handguns in his possession.

Police said an officer stopped the car near Bay Road and Lafferty Lane for a registration violation. According to police, during the stop the officer detected the odor of marijuana and noticed cigar filling and marijuana seeds on the floor of the car.  Police said the officer asked for the name of the driver and the passengers, and the driver complied.

Upon running a database search, the officer found the man in the front passenger seat, 23-year-old Jason Mills of Seaford, was wanted on a local fugitive warrant.  Police said the officer noticed a strange movement in the car and suspected the people in the car were hiding something.  The officer asked everyone to get out of the vehicle, and searched under the Mills' seat, where police said he found a 9mm Glock, and a .38 mm Colt revolver, both loaded. Police said Mills admitted the guns were his, and he was arrested without incident.

Mills was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and two counts of possession of ammunition by a person prohibited.

He is being held on $12,000 bond.
