Boy Injured After Struck by Centreville Parade Float
CENTREVILLE, Md. (AP) - Officials said a 7-year-old boy participating in Centreville's Christmas parade was injured after he tried to get off a moving parade float.
Centreville police said the boy, who was riding on the float in Friday's parade, slipped and fell and was run over by the float near the end of the parade route.
Police and emergency personnel attended to the boy, who was flown to John Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore for treatment of leg and facial injuries, which police say are not believed to be life threatening.
