SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury Police arrested two men Saturday for robbing a beer and wine store.

Police say, about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, two men walked into "Wetcher Whistle" on Old Ocean City Road in Salisbury. Police say one man, later identified as 21-year-old John David Hudson, was wearing a mask and showed what was described as a handgun. Police say Hudson demanded money from the employee, then took off on foot.

Police say Hudson then hopped into a car driven by 35-year-old Matthew Allen Woodard, and both took off in the vehicle.

No injuries were reported, according to police.

About 3:25 p.m., police say officers were able to find their vehicle in the area of Church Street and Priscilla Street, and took Hudson and Woodard into custody.

Hudson and Woodard were charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, wear and carry a handgun, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit robbery and theft.

Woodard was also charged with accessory to robbery and theft.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Salisbury Police Department (410) 548-3113 or Crime Solvers (410) 548-1776.
