EASTON, Md. - For the second time in less than a week, firefighters with the Easton Fire Department say a car crashed into the CVS Pharmacy on Ocean Gateway.

Firefighters say the latest incident happened just after 2 p.m. Monday. Authorities say one customer was transported to Memorial Hospital at Easton with minor injuries and the driver of the car refused treatment. Pictures from the scene showed a gap in the side of the building by the store front window. The store was closed for the rest of the day.

The first incident happened last Wednesday around 2 p.m. Easton Firefighters say in that case, a car had run into the front of the store, causing damage to the outside of the building and causing shelves inside to be knocked over. Only minor injuries were reported in this first case.

The Easton Fire Department says that in both cases, the Town of Easton building inspector was notified and deemed the building safe.
