GLASGOW, Del.- Delaware State Police arrested a Dover pair after officers say they found numerous stolen items during a traffic stop late last week.

On Friday, the New Castle County Police Department stopped a black Chevrolet HHR after it was reported as suspicious in a neighborhood in Bear.

Police say the two people in the car-- later identified as Richard Henderson, 24 and Eliza Agosto, 23, both of Dover-- were found to be in possession of a large amount of property.

Through further investigation and interviews, police learned that Henderson and Agosto stole items from cars and garages throughout New Castle County, as well as Dover.

Police say  the suspects would travel through neighborhoods checking for open garages and unlocked cars. According to police, Agosto would then park their car while Henderson would run throughout the neighborhood to take the items.

Henderson was arrested and charged by Delaware State Police with three counts of theft, theft of a firearm, possession of a weapon by a person prohibited, conspiracy 2nd-degree, and criminal trespass 3rd-degree. He was arraigned at JP Court 2 and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution in default of $11,750 secured bail.

Agosto was arrested by the Delaware State Police and charged with theft of a firearm, conspiracy 2nd-degree, and Theft. She was also arraigned at JP Court 2 and then committed to the Delores Baylor Correctional Institution in default of $7,000 secured bail.

More charges are expected to be filed against both suspect. Please contact the New Castle County Police in reference to the charges for incidents that occurred in their jurisdiction.

Due to the large quantity of items that have been recovered, the Delaware State Police will be holding a public viewing of the assorted stolen items at Troop 2, Glasgow, on Monday, December 14, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Anyone residing in the New Castle County or Dover areas who may have been a victim of a theft from their vehicle or their garage is encouraged to respond to Troop 2. A police report must be filed by anyone who wishes to respond to Troop 2 to recover their stolen property.
