WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. – A rocket launch scheduled for Saturday from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore has been postponed due to an issue discovered in testing on Thursday.

According to NASA, the launch of the the Terrier Improved Malemute suborbital sounding rocket carrying the Multiple User Suborbital Instrument Carrier will now take place no earlier than January.

The payload team is currently investigating the problem.

The MUSIC launch was originally scheduled for Dec. 4, but was postponed due to fears of the sea state not being safe for the recovery boat and crew.
