Dover Police Investigate Daytime Shooting of Teenager

DOVER, Del.– Dover police are investigating the daytime shooting of a teenager.

Police said that just after 4 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the Hamlet Development on Village Drive for a report of shots fired. Officers checked the area but did not find any victim or evidence of gunfire, according to investigators.

About three hours later, a 16-year-old boy arrived at Kent General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Police said he was treated and released.
