DAGSBORO, Del.- The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a deadly crash in Dagsboro.

The crash reportedly happened at around 1:40 p.m. Saturday. Police said 62-year-old Elizabeth Willey was driving southbound on Iron Branch Road just north of Main Street, and was approaching a moderate curve. Police say that meantime, 21-year-old Samuel Tull Jr. was driving northbound on Iron Branch Road approaching this same curve.

Investigators said that for unknown reasons, Willey crossed into the opposing travel lane and into the path of the oncoming car. Police said Tull attempted to steer right, but was unable to avoid car and the two collided head-on.

Police said another car, driven by 47-year-old Donna Robbins, swerved to miss the crash. Robbins drove off the east side of the roadway and struck an electrical picket fence.

According to police, Willey was not properly restrained and was extricated from her car by the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department. Police said she died from her injuries at the scene.

Tull and an 18-year-old female passenger were properly restrained and did not require any medical attention.

Robbins and her three passengers were all properly restrained and uninjured, police said.

Police said alcohol is not a factor on behalf of any of the operators in this case.  Iron Branch Road was closed between Firetower Road and Main Street for three and a half hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
