HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington police have arrested a Greenwood teenager in connection with a shooting that happened in late November.

According to police, Harrington officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Grant Street at approximately 10:08 p.m. on Nov. 28. During the investigation, police said officers discovered that John T. Long, 15, of Greenwood, and Jordan Dixon, 16, of Greenwood, left a party and began firing rounds from a handgun while walking down the street.

According to police, there were no injuries reported and no property damaged. On Thursday, Dec. 10, police received a tip that Long was at a home on Milby Street. Officers responded to the area and took Long into custody, police said.

Long also had active warrants out of Delaware State Police Troop 3 for an unrelated incident. He was charged with second-degree conspiracy, disorderly conduct, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and two counts of first-degree reckless endangering stemming from the incident in Harrington. Long also faced charges from Delaware State Police. Long was arraigned on both sets of charges and ordered held in the Stevenson Juvenile Detention Center in default of $83,100 cash only bail.
