Cambridge Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

CAMBRIDGE, Md.- A Cambridge man is facing attempted murder and related charges following accusations that he tried to stab another person in the head.

Cambridge police said that on Sunday officers were called to the 200 block of Willis Street for a reported disturbance with weapons involved. Officers met with the victim who had visible signs of injury, according to police. 

Police said further Investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jaron T. Chase, attempted to stab the victim in the head with steak knife. Chase also used a board to assault the victim, according to police.

As a result of the investigation, Chase was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and wear/carry dangerous weapon with intent to injure. He was ordered held in the Dorchester County Detention Center on a temporary commitment.
