MAGNOLIA, Del.- Police say they arrested a Magnolia man following a three-month investigation into a Meth operation at a home on Millchop Lane.

Tuesday, Dec. 15, Delaware State Police said the Kent County Drug Task Force, with the held of the Kent County Governor's Task Force, Troop 3 Patrol, and DNREC, responded to 339 Millchop Lane in Magnolia around 11:15 a.m.

Troopers said the group conducted a search warrant in response to an ongoing investigation in the manufacturing of methamphetamine at the house.

According to state police, troopers arrived and found 30-year-old Ronald Hawkins, of Magnolia, in a shed on the property acting suspicious.

Troopers said he left the property a short time later and went to the Walmart in Camden. State police said they found Hawkins outside of the Walmart and discovered key ingredients used to make meth in his vehicle.

State police said Hawkins was taken into custody.

Troopers said they searched the property, and found equipment and mixtures linked to the manufacturing stages of Meth along with key ingredients used to make the drug.

According to state police, the evidence was collected and hazardous materials were removed by DNREC.

Troopers said three small children at the home were turned over to a family member.

State police said Hawkins was taken to Troop 3 in Camden, where he was charged with Operating a Clandestine Lab, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Troopers said he was remanded to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $20,000 cash bond and ordered to have no contact with the children found in the home.
