Teen Arrested for Shooting Another Teen in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with a shooting that happened in a Dover neighborhood last week.

According to Dover police, the teen was identified as a suspect in the Dec. 10 shooting in the Hamlet housing development. The shooting left a 16-year-old boy injured with a single gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was treated and released from Kent General Hospital.

The 14-year-old was charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangering, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, criminal mischief and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

He is being held at Stevenson House, a Juvenile Detention Center, in default of $14,250 secured bond.
