One Killed After Tractor-trailer, Car Collide in Milford

MILFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police say one person was killed and another injured after a tractor-trailer and a car collided in Milford early Thursday afternoon.

Police said the accident happened at around 12:25 p.m., at the intersection of Canterbury and Rothermel roads. Troopers said that as a result of the crash, the driver of the car died. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time, according to investigators.

Canterbury Road between Deer Valley and Rothermel roads is closed and motorists are asked to find alternate means of travel around the scene.

The DSP Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash and details were expected to be released at the conclusion of the probe.
