WILMINGTON, Del. (WBOC/AP) - Delaware law enforcement officials are claiming victory following a multijurisdictional heroin trafficking investigation.

State, local and federal officials joined Attorney General Matt Denn on Thursday to announce that 46 defendants indicted last December in connection with an investigation, known as "Operation Son Sun," have all either pleaded guilty or been convicted.

Officials said the defendants were members of one of the largest heroin trafficking organizations in Delaware history.

Authorities said the ringleaders, Andrew "Rock" Lloyd and Antoine "Flock" Miller, both of Wilmington, were recently sentenced to 25 years and 20 years in prison, respectively.

“The successful resolutions to these cases sends a strong message that we will seek to prosecute not just the street-level dealers, but the organizational heads of drug-dealing operations in our state,” Denn said. “These racketeering cases are notoriously hard to put together and present, and the fact that we were able to get convictions is in large part a credit to the front-line law enforcement work that was done.”

Agencies participating in the investigation included the attorney general's office, state police, FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Wilmington police, Newark police and New Castle County police.

Proposed Roundabout for Wicomico County Intersection

There is a intersection in Salisbury off Route 50 that has several roads leading into it and 12 traffic lights regulating it.

Mount Hermon Road, Long Avenue, Truitt Street, East Williams Street, and Main Street all intersect at one central location.

People in the community have mixed feelings about the intersection. Some say it should be left alone because it regulates traffic just fine while others say it is a nuisance.
