Police: Report of Shots Fired During Road Rage Confrontation

Posted: Updated:

PIKE CREEK, Del. (AP)- Delaware State Police say they are investigating after a man reported that shots were fired during a road rage confrontation in the Pike Creek area.

Police say a 28-year-old Wilmington man was driving on Stoney Batter Road on Sunday night, when a white Toyota Scion with a blue tarp over the front passenger window and Florida registration pulled in front of him, causing him to slam on his brakes.

The drivers both stopped at a red light and argued. Later, the Scion stopped in front of the other car, and Scion driver threw a drink as the other driver passed.

Police say the man reported that as the Scion passed again, he heard what sounded like four shots and a rear window shattered. Police say the man wasn't injured.
