CAPE CHARLES, Va. (AP/WBOC)- The Coast Guard says two men escaped injury after their skiff ran aground in Cape Charles on Virginia's Eastern Shore.

The Coast Guard said in a news release that watchstanders were notified at 5:15 p.m. Sunday that a 19-foot skiff was taking on water after it ran aground.

A Coast Guard 25-foot response boat-small crew rescued the 31-year-old man and the 51-year-old man and took them to Station Cape Charles. The men were then driven to their vehicle.

There were no injuries or pollution reported. The skiff's owner plans to have it towed.
