Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery of Dover Convenience Store

DOVER, Del. - The Dover Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for a Sunday night armed robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store.

Police said it happened around 10:15 p.m. when a man entered the 7-Eleven located at 654 North DuPont Highway and pointed a handgun at the clerk. According to officers, the suspect demanded money, and the clerk emptied the cash register into a white pillow case the suspect was holding.

Police said the suspect then ran away. He is described as a black man, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over his face.
