LEWES, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for a man wanted for holding up a gas station near Lewes on Tuesday night.

The crime reportedly occurred shortly after 9 p.m., at the BP Uncle Willies, located at 17581 Coastal Highway. Troopers said a suspect armed with a handgun entered the business, walked up to a 46-year-old female employee and demanded cash from the register.  Police said that as the clerk was attempting to give the suspect the money, he grabbed the drawer and emptied an undisclosed amount of cash into a plastic bag he was carrying.  The suspect then fled the business and ran in an unknown direction.  The female employee was uninjured in this incident.

According to investigators, the suspect was described as black, between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-2, wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, black shoes, and a clear plastic mask over his face.  He was armed with an unknown type handgun.
