SALISBURY, Md.- A Salisbury woman is charged after sheriff's deputies say she charged a man with a knife during an argument and resisted arrest.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, it happened January 1 just after 3:30 a.m. at a house in the 400 block of Keene Avenue.

Deputies said they responded to the scene of a reported domestic-related altercation.

The sheriff's office said a man at the house was involved in an argument with 22-year-old Na Ja Corbin, when the argument turned physical.

According to deputies, the male victim said Corbin repeatedly hit him and charged at him with a knife during the argument.

Deputies said they observed signs of injury along with a knife that corroborated the victim's account.

While trying to arrest Corbin, deputies said she resisted deputies while being taken into custody. Deputies said she was visibly intoxicated.

The sheriff's office said Corbin was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.

After an initial appearance, the sheriff's office said the Commissioner detained Corbin in the Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Deputies said Corbin was charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Assault and Resisting Arrest.
