UPDATE: Selbyville Woman Dead after Crash in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del.-  The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a crash that left a Selbyville woman dead.
 
Police say it happened just after 3 p.m. on Hardscrabble Road near Godwin School Road.

According to police, 50-year-old Lisa Wyatt was approaching a curve on the eastbound side of the road. Police say Ryan D. F. Johnson, 27 of Salisbury was driving a wheel roll off container hauler westbound approaching the same curve.  

For unknown reasons, police say Wyatt's SUV entered into the westbound lane into the truck's path. Johnson activated the brakes and swerved to the right, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Police say Wyatt's SUV rotated in a counterclockwise direction while sliding off the south side of roadway and partially onto the grassy roadside. 
 
Wyatt, who was properly restrained, was extensively trapped and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
 Johnson was properly restrained and was transported by EMS to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was treated for minor non-life-threatening injuries and released.
 
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident.  Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this case.  SR20 between Godwin School Road and Country Living Road was closed for approximately four and a half hours while the crash was investigated and the large amount of debris was cleared.  

DNREC also responded to assist with a minor diesel fuel spill from the truck tanks.Millsboro- The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred on Hardscrabble Road (SR20) east of Godwin School Road Thursday afternoon.
