1,390 Bags of Heroin Seized in Dover, 3 Arrested

DOVER, Del. - Three people were arrested on drug charges in Dover after police say they were found with nearly 1,400 bags of heroin.

According to the Dover Police Department, at around 5 p.m. Thursday officers made contact with Jamichael Peck, 21, of Dover, Shakkiah Bodine, 22, also of Dover, and Leondrei Prince, 43, of Wilmington, at the corner of New and Reed streets.

Police said Peck tried to walk away as officer approached, and threw a bag of marijuana and heroin as he did.

After all three suspects were taken into custody, Bodine and Peck were found with a total of 1,390 bags or 20.85 grams of heroin, according to police. Police said Peck also had 2.2 grams of marijuana while Prince had .4 grams of crack cocaine.

According to Police, Peck was charged with the following and committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $44,150 secured bond:

  • Possession with intent to deliver heroin
  • Possession of heroin (Tier 5 quantity)
  • Second-degree conspiracy
  • Tampering with evidence
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Violation of probation

Bodine was charged with the following and committed to the Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on $102,100 secured bond:

  • Possession with intent to deliver heroin
  • Possession of heroin (Tier 5 quantity)
  • Second-degree conspiracy
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Price was charged with the following and committed to JTVCC on $1,000 secured bond:

  • Possession of crack cocaine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Local fugitive
