Dorchester County Man Arrested on Assault Charges

SECRETARY, Md.- Police have arrested a Dorchester County man wanted on assault and threat of arson charges in Bel Air, Md. 

Dorchester County Sheriff James Phillips said that on New Year's Day, 21-year-old Jonathan Ryan Cook of Secretary was taken custody. According to the sheriff, Cook was wanted by authorities in Bel Air for allegedly assaulting a woman on three occasions and threatening to burn her house down.

Following his arrest, Cook was charged with three counts of second-degree assault and making a threat of arson and ordered held on $85,000 bond.
