SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing that left another man hospitalized with serious injuries.

According to police, the incident happened on Sunday evening on the 400 block of East Locust Street for a reported stabbing. Investigators said the ensuing investigation revealed that 51-year-old Orlando Christopher Tilghman and the 45-year-old victim got into an argument that quickly turned physical. Police said that is when Tilghman pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim once in the throat. Tilghman then ran from the scene prior to officers' arrival, police said.

Police said the victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the stab wound.

Authorities said an arrest warrant was issued for Tilghman charging him with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment. Tilghman should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

Anyone with information on Tilghman's whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Solvers of the Lower Eastern Shore at (410) 548-1776 or the Salisbury Police Department at (410) 548-3165.
