2 Navy Jets Make Emergency Landing for Fuel at Va. Airport

NORFOLK, Va. (AP)- An official at Norfolk International Airport says two Navy fighter jets on a training mission made successful emergency landings after running low on fuel.
    
Airport deputy executive director Robert Bowen says the F/A-18 pilots landed Wednesday at Norfolk International Airport after determining that the runways at two nearby bases weren't available because of other operations.
    
Bowen says that the jets refueled and returned to Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach about two hours later.
