Police Searching For Suspect in Queen Anne's Robbery

CHESTER, Md.- Deputies are investigating a robbery at a CVS store in Chester.

Police say the suspect walked into the store on South Piney Road just after 9 p.m. Friday, and was seen shoplifting bottles of laundry detergent. Police say he then walked up to clerk and demanded money.

According to the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Department, the clerk gave the suspect a small amount of cash from the register, and the suspect then fled.

Maryland State Police K-9 teams also responded and attempted to track the suspect.

The suspect was described as an African-American male, 5'6"-5'10" wearing black beanie, hooded jacket and t-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.

Police say the suspect did not display a gun during the robbery.
