MILLSBORO, Del. - Delaware State Police have arrested a 23 year old man following a single car accident which injured two people early Sunday morning in Millsboro.

Police said the crash happened just before 12:15 a.m., as 23-year old Dillon Davis, of Millsboro, was driving northbound on Long Neck Road, approaching Bay Road. Police said that Davis lost control of his car as he attempted to round a curve, and left the roadway, hitting a tree.

A 42-year old man and a 21 year old woman were passengers in Davis’ car, and were both removed from the scene by EMS and transported to the Beebe Medical Center. They were then both flown to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center, where they are being treated for serious injuries.

Dillon Davis, who was not injured in the crash, was transported to Troop 7, where a DUI investigation ensued. Davis was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, two counts of Vehicular Assault in the 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana (3 grams), and three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was arraigned at JP Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $6,501 secured bail.
