Dorchester Co. Woman Arrested for Deadly Stabbing

RHODESDALE, Md. - A Dorchester County woman is behind bars after a deadly stabbing Monday night.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to 5144 Rhodesdale-Vienna Road in Rhodesdale at around 11:45 p.m. for a reported stabbing. Deputies say they found 34-year-old Justin Barney of Royal Oak suffering from a single stab wound to the chest.

E.M.S. workers began treatment and then took the victim to PRMC, where he died, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office has named 20-year-old Kryshonna Jones, who lives in the Rhodesdale home, as the suspect. Deputies say she has been charged with:

  • First Degree Murder
  • Second Degree Murder
  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Wearing and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure
  • First Degree Assault
  • Second Degree Assault

She is currently awaiting action by a District Court Commissioner.
