MILLSBORO, Del.- Delaware State Police say two people are facing drug and related charges after probation and parole officers discovered they were allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine at a home in Millsboro.

Police said that at around 4 p.m. Thursday, members of Georgetown Probation and Parole went to the 29000 block of Hickman Lane in order to conduct an administrative probation check on 53-year-old John E. Jones, who is on probation stemming from a 2015 drug conviction. Authorities said that as probation officers were conducting a search of the home, they located various rounds of ammunition, as well as equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of meth along with key ingredients in making the drug.

Police said Jones, as well as his girlfriend, 38-year-old Erica A. Wildes, also of the Hickman Lane address, were taken into custody and the home was evacuated.

Police said detectives assigned to the DSP Sussex County Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, went to the home to assume the investigation and a consent search was obtained in response to the ongoing investigation into the manufacturing of meth at the house.

Jones was charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, two counts of possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver a counterfeit controlled substance (meth), second-degree conspiracy, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

Wildes was charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, possession with intent to deliver a counterfeit controlled substance (meth), second-degree conspiracy , three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine. Jones was ordered held in lieu of $59,000 secured bond while Wildes was ordered held on $39,000 secured bond.

No evacuations were ordered as it was determined that there was no immediate hazard to nearby residents, according to police.
