Two Sought in Salisbury Shooting

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a late Sunday afternoon shooting that left a 40-year-old man seriously injured.

Police said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. on the 700 block of Shiloh Street for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and met with the victim and witnesses.

According to police, an initial investigation revealed that the victim was standing in the doorway of his home when he was approached by two masked suspects. Investigators said the suspects attempted to push the suspect back into his home, while one suspect removed a handgun and shot the victim once in the lower abdomen.

Following the shooting the suspects ran from the area  Salisbury police K-9 “Hank” responded and conducted a track, but was unsuccessful in locating the suspects, according to investigators. 

Police said the victim is being treated at Peninsula Regional Medical Center for his injuries which are considered serious, but not life-threatening.

Both suspects were described by police as black males. One of the suspects was additionally described as 6-foot-tall, thin build, wearing a mask and approximately 25 years of age. The other suspect was described as 25 years of age, wearing a mask and carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.
