HEBRON, Md.- Investigators say two people were injured during a weekend house fire that damaged a home in Hebron.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze happened shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday at the one-and-half story home located at 27793 Ocean Gateway. It took 25 firefighters from the Hebron, Mardela, Delmar and Salisbury stations 1 and 16 approximately 80 minutes to get the fire under control, authorities said.

Investigators said the home's occupants, identified as Terrance and Fallisa Brown, sustained minor burns and smoke inhalation. They were transported by ambulance to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, where they were treated and released.

Deputy state fire marshals said the fire started in the living room but the cause remains under investigation.

The fire caused an estimated $75,000 in damage to the structure and another $25,000 in damage to its contents.
