Milford Police: Two Women Charged in Beer Bottle Attack

MILFORD, Del.- Milford police have arrested two women accused of attacking another woman with beer bottles at a restaurant. 

According to police, on Jan. 17, Kimberly M. Green, 43, of Frederica, and Glenda M. Vanderwende, 46, of Hartly, approached a 34-year-old woman who was attempting to smoke a cigarette on the outside patio area of Park Place Restaurant and Lounge. Police said Green and Vanderwende were armed with glass beer bottles, and began hitting the woman.

According to police, the woman was transported to a local hospital where she received medical treatment for cuts and a head injury. Both Green and Vanderwende were charged with second-degree assault, aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct. They were arraigned and committed to Delores B. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution and were later released on bond.
