Cordova Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash

EASTON, Md.- Police say a Cordova man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after his motorcycle crashed into a van.

The Easton Police Department said it happened Wednesday on Elliot Rd. near Teal Dr.

According to police, an initial investigation revealed a Chevrolet Express work van, driven by 32-year-old Jeremy Slayden, of Denton, was traveling southbound on Elliott Rd. and stopped to make a left turn onto Teal Dr.

Police said the motorcycle, driven by 45-year-old Gregory Rippel, was also traveling southbound on Elliot Rd. According to police, several witnesses said Rippel passed a vehicle that was turning into a the Shell Station on Elliot Rd., and then collided with the rear of the work van.

Police said Rippel was airlifted to R. Cowley Adams Shock Trauma Center after the crash. He was listen in stable, but critical condition. 

According to police, Slayden was not injured. 

The Easton Police Department was assisted by the Easton Volunteer Fire Department and Talbot County Emergency Medical Services.
