RICHMOND, Va. (AP)- Gov. Terry McAuliffe will announce final figures for agricultural and forestry exports from Virginia last year at a conference next month.
The annual Governor's Conference on Agricultural Trade will be held March 7-8 at the Hilton Richmond Downtown Hotel.
McAuliffe will deliver the keynote address at the event, during which he will unveil the export totals. The governor's office says Virginia totaled more than $3.35 billion in agricultural and forestry exports in 2014.
The event will also feature panel discussions and meetings on international trade of agricultural goods.
U.S. Sen. Mark Warner, Ambassador Darci Vetter, chief agricultural negotiator for the U.S. Trade Representative, and John Reinhart, chief executive officer of the Virginia Port Authority, are among several other officials expected to speak at the event.
