19-Year-Old Arrested for Theft from Vehicle

SALISBURY, Md.- Deputies charged a 19-year-old man after they say he stole several items from a car.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Pierre Copes, Jr., of Willards, was charged with Rogue and Vagabond as well as Theft and Credit Card: Steal Another's after the incident Jan. 27 in the 30000 block of Cannon Dr.

Deputies said Copes took a wallet from an unlocked, parked car. They said he used one of the credit cards in the wallet to make purchases at a convenience store in Salisbury.

The sheriff's office said the illegal purchases were caught on video. 

According to deputies, Copes was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner.

Deputies said following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Copes in the Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
