Smyrna Police Seek to ID Counterfeit Suspect

SMYRNA, Del.- Smyrna police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for questioning in a counterfeit money case. 

Police said a female suspect, whose picture was captured by a video surveillance capture, attempted on at least two occasions to use a counterfeit $100 bill at local businesses on Jan. 28. Police are asking the public's help in identifying the suspect so investigators can contact her for questioning. 

Anyone with information about these incidents or the suspect’s identity, and/or whereabouts, is urged to contact the Smyrna Police Department at (302) 653-9217. Any other businesses that believe they may have been a victim are also urged to contact the department.
