SALISBURY, Md.- It was a long first day of trial in the case against 60-year-old Harry Jones, who is accused of holding a woman against her will in his Wicomico County home and sexually assaulting her. Jones' accuser took the stand late Monday afternoon to give her emotional testimony.

The woman testified that on June 13, 2015 Jones, who had previously dated her daughter, picked her up at her home in Crisfield because Jones wanted to talk to her.  The victim testified that once they made it back to Jones' home on Keyes Lane, just off of Old Ocean City Road near Salisbury, Jones struck her in the head with a crowbar.

The woman testified that when she woke up, her wrists and ankles with bound with zip ties. Over the course of the next few days, the victim testified that Jones forced her to have oral sex on numerous occasions and one instance of intercourse.  The woman also testified that when Jones would leave his Keyes Lane home, he would have her bound and in the bathtub so she could not escape.

The woman testified that on Tuesday, June 16, Jones left for the grocery store and she managed to slip out of the tub and out of the home and ran into Old Ocean City Road screaming for help.  Two women eventually stopped to help her and called for help.

During opening arguments, the prosecution made it clear this woman was an unwilling hostage in Jones' home.  However, the defense told the jury that the real story was that the victim was a willing participant with Jones and even initiated some of the sexual activities.

Seven witnesses were called Monday, including the victim in the case.  The trial is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday.
