Dozens Displaced After Fire at Newark Apartment Complex

NEWARK, Del. (AP)- Authorities say dozens of people have been displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Newark.
    
John Guzzo, deputy chief of the Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Company, says the fire was reported about 4:35 p.m. Monday at the Autumn Park apartments.
    
Responding firefighters say flames and smoke could be seen rising from the complex.
    
Guzzo says all three floors of the building had fire.
    
The building was evacuated. No injuries were reported.
    
Approximately 30 people were displaced.
    
Britttany Fowler, spokeswoman for the American Red Cross of Delmarva, says the agency was assisting 12 families following the blaze.
    
Guzzo says three cats were also rescued from the fire.
    
The state fire marshal's office is investigating.
